Eirini Papadopoulou

Laboratories Director

Dr. Eirini Papadopoulou studied Biology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She obtained her PhD from the Laboratory of Pathological Anatomy of the University of Ioannina. She has published 31 papers in various international journals.
From 2000 onwards she has worked at the laboratories of Molecular Biology of Eurogenet Inc. and "Hygeia" Hospital where she applied molecular techniques for research and diagnostic purposes.

Vasiliki Metaxa-Mariatou, Molecular Biologist, B.Sc, M.Sc
Cell and Molecular biologist with a master’s degree (University of Glasgow), 15 years of working experience in Molecular Biology laboratories and more than 19 publications. Employed in Genekor M.S.A. since 2012.

 

-GROUP LEADER PERSONALIZED GENOMIC PANELS & SINGLE GENES

Ekaterini Tsantikidi, Molecular Biologist B.Sc, M.Sc
She has studied Biochemistry and Biotechnology in The University of Thessaly. She has obtained a Master degree in Medical School of Athens in "Clinicopathological Study of Human Neoplasms: Research and clinicopathological approach in the context of Personalized Medicine (Diagnosis and Targeted Treatments) and has 7 publications. She works in Genekor M.S.A since 2017 and from 2021 she is a Ph.D. candidate at the Medical School on the subject "HRD score CALCULATION in gynecological cancers".


-GROUP LEADER GENETIC MATERIAL EXTRACTION

Grigoris Tsigaridas, Biologist, B.Sc, M.Sc
He studied Biological Sciences at the University of Sunderland and holds a Master's Degree in Medical Genetics from the University of Glasgow. He has 18 years of experience in Molecular Biology Laboratories. Works at Genekor I.A.E. from 2022.

- GROUP LEADER OF ONCOLOGY 

Konstantinos Agiannitopoulos, Molecular Biologist, Ph.D
Dr. Konstantinos Agiannitopoulos studied Biology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (UoA) and holds a master’s degree in Molecular Medicine (Advanced Molecular Diagnostics) of the Medical School of UOA. He completed his doctoral thesis at the Genetics Laboratory at Department of Biology, Section of Genetics & Biotechnology of UoA. He has published 18 papers in international journals and works in Genekor MSA since 2013.

 

-GROUP LEADER OF NEUROLOGY

Georgia Pepe, Molecular Biologist, B.Sc, M.Sc
Studied Molecular Biology & Genetics at the Democritus University of Thrace and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Biochemistry and Molecular Diagnostic from the Faculty of Biology of the University of Athens. She has 8 publications in international journals and has been working at Genekor M.S.A. since 2014.

 

-GROUP LEADER OF CARDIOLOGY

Dimitra Bouzarelou, B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D

Dr. Dimitra Bouzarelou studied Biology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) and holds a master's degree specializing in Health Unit Management. She completed her doctoral thesis at the Laboratory of Molecular Genetics of the Institute of Biology of the E.K.E.F.E. "DIMOKRITOS" in collaboration with the Department of Biology of EKPA. She holds a specialty title in clinical laboratory genetics recognized by the European Board of Medical Genetics (EBMG). She has published 6 papers in international scientific journals in the field of Genetics and Molecular Biology. Works at GENEKOR I.A.E. from 2022.
